Deep Tissue Release

Deep tissue release is a massage technique that’s mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue. It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation. Deep tissue massage offers both physical and psychological benefits. Unlike other massage techniques that focus on relaxation, deep tissue massage helps to treat muscle pain and improve the effects of stiffness. But it can still help you unwind mentally, too.

Muscle Stripping

Muscle Stripping uses instruments to achieve the effects and benefits of soft tissue mobilization. With muscle stripping, there are specifically designed stainless steel instruments that a therapist uses to aid in finding and treating soft tissue problems. It is an evidence-based method of IASTM (instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization) that is used in combination with rehabilitative exercises to improve musculoskeletal function and loosen up tight muscle groups.

Cupping

Cupping is a TCM practice in which a cup is applied to the skin in a manner that creates a light suction. It is especially useful to release tight muscles and increase blood flow. A technique of sliding the cups along tight muscle bands works well to release tension.

Finish Line Wellness Microcurrent

Microcurrent

Microcurrent produces electrical impulses, which are transmitted by electrodes in the device through the skin to communicate with the body’s nervous system. These hand-held devices are FDA-cleared for:

  • Prescription use for the symptomatic relief and management of chronic, intractable pain and adjunctive treatment in the management of post-surgical and post-traumatic pain (available by doctor prescription only).

  • Use for the temporary relief of pain associated with sore and aching muscles in the shoulder, waist, back, back of the neck, upper extremities (arm), and lower extremities (leg) due to strain from exercise or injury.

These noninvasive neuro-stimulation devices allow patients to take control of their pain management. Microcurrent features a tissue reaction response indication, making them superior to traditional TENS units.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a part of TCM in which hair thin, sterile needles are inserted into the body at specific points. By needling these points, the nervous system is stimulated into releasing chemicals that help reduce pain, increase circulation and decrease inflammation.
